Phil Hill’s family and fans needed to create a website that would pay tribute to the only American born driver to win a Formula One Championship. 2011 marked the 50th anniversary that Phil Hill drove his Ferrari in the Monza GP to win the 1961 drivers championship.
The goal of the project was to promote the upcoming book and documentary as well as provide valuable resources for fans and racing enthusiast.
Working directly with Phil’s family, we conceptualize a website that would leverage Mr. Hill’s amazing photo archive collection. We aimed to create a site that would be easy to manage, informational and beautifully designed.
The final product is a great looking website. The logo was designed based on Phil Hill’s original signature and the overall inspiration comes from a 1960′s Formula 1 Ferrari.
The website was presented in the 50th anniversary celebration in Monza, Italy, and it became a great place for fans from around the world to learn about this great chapter in the Formula 1 history.
